A nice group and I will try to give my readings of signatures:
1. Woundbadge signature ??;
2. I.C.II, Signature "Wezergang";
3. I.C.I signed by "Zitzewitz( a real old Prussian name, frequently used in jokes about the very old Prussian nobility), note the date of award.
4. Hindenburg Cross signed by a County Director (civil service , running a county, these civil servants often signed these documents);
5. Hanseatic Cross Hamburg signed by Siemsen, Oberregierungsrat. Practically all I have seen are signed by this highranking civil servant in the government of the Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg.
Bernhard H.Holst
I can add that the Wound Badge Document was signed by Ehrenreich von Nussbaum, the commander of IR 463.
The EKII document was signed by Major Weyergang, who in May 1914 was assigned to IR 168 (signatures are always difficult to decipher!!).
As Berndt mentioned, the name von Zitzewitz was indeed very old but also quite common in the Prussian army. In 1914, there were 20 officers on active duty with that name!!
