Need help identifying this ribbon bar from a photo

Well, another option is the Friedrich August-Medaille, but I doubt that the background in that ribbon is yellow. It looks darker for sure.

Still, could it be like this one?

This may not be a fair test, but I convert your ribbon bar to grayscale. The one in the picture I submitted has much more contrast.

I teach color theory and also worked as a commercial photographer for many years. The yellow in the FAM has elements of red in its tint base, and therefore would photograph as a medium-dark gray.

The Albrecht Order, having a blue base to the green, would photograph as a light gray at best.

Therefore, as Don says, FAM in silver.

Very well explained, thanks! I totally agree: yellow ribbons tend to look quite dark on old photographs.

This must be the FAM ribbon. Likely the silver one, but if he received it yet as an EM, could as well be one in bronze.
