Sharing some of my imperial documents for reference to the ones who are interested.

A Garnison Order dated 1916 by Generalleutnant Schaer, Königl. Preussiches Hannover. I happen to have two survivors of this document

Interesting are the different listed restaurants who are not allowed to be visited by soldiers:

7.) Prohibited Restaurants

a) Verbotene Lokale - prohibited taverns

b) Kaschemmen - juke joints / dives

c) Dirnen - Quartiere - brothels

d) Verbotene Häuser - prohibited houses

I guess the brothels are usually the first ones to be banned and prohibited to the ersatz :P

In the year 1917 Hannover had 287.000 residents - and (only) 7 brothels are listed on the garnison Order. Not too much.
