        Thanks guys!

Yes it is the bent stem. It is known to be on a sash "owned" by Blucher, however that would date it before 1816. This one is accepted as a 1839-ies and perhaps later version.

There is a nice group from 1839 presented here:

I am still looking for more info on the Blucher set as shown in Iron Time. Was it sold at Thies? Anyone knows the whereabouts?

        Thanks,
        Michel

Awesome addition to your collection! Really good looking piece. I would love to own a 1813 series at some point. It's the only series i've never had!

                Anyhow, congrats again!

                  Great piece Michel, congratulations

In my opinion these are extremely nice pieces. I had one once but I sold it to another forum member.

Let's see it together with the other one

Very nice cross! Condition of the core is very good. Frame was once cleaned.

I'll do that tomorrow. I had rather a busy day today driving off and on with the daughters. However during the driving- pick-up and drop-offs I managed to pop by at Kay for a cup of coffee and let him photograph the 1813 at his usual habitat . Here are the results:

As I am not very well versed in the 1813 series, can you shed light on the 2nd cross you shared with us (thanks by the way!). The core seems different and the dimensions of the frame appear to be different as well.

Is that one from an earlier or later period than the original cross posted here? It seems to me that for the most part, that an actual 1813 dated cross is very rare if it exists at all and many seem to fall into the assumed date of the 1820s-1830s. Is that correct?

Does that explain the different core and frame or is it simply because of the period and tools they had and used to make the crosses to explain the difference, or even just a different maker (although I always assumed that there was only one "jeweler" who made these unlike the multitude of makers we see if WWI and WWII series crosses).
