    EK2 maker help

Just picked up this ek2. Can't tell what the maker mark is. Would appreciate help!

    Hey!

    It's Carl Dillenius, Pforzheim.

Usually found with the CD800 mark, sometimes with the [] Quadrat mark. This mark on your cross is just a little bit shifted, but everything is as it should be.

I agree with Andy. Good and quite desirable cross.

I agree with Miro, a very desirable cross. The core details are quite nice.

As pure luck would have it I found one months ago with the full maker mark, CD800...

That's a lot for all the help! Is there a book on the ek2?

That's a nice maker mark robert. I also have this cd 800 ek2. I was told the mark looks more like it should be on a ek1...

Here are a couple of my "CD 800" marks (old file photos).
Spent some time chasing my first one (missed out on two in one week) then landed two in one bulk buy since then have added a couple more, sadly though a very nice single mount is "MIA" along with some other marked single mounts.

Some very nice crosses posted. You have to love those CD crosses, always with exceptional detail and often without much wear.

                          Nice and interesting cross!

As the "square" marked 1st classes are usually private purchase crosses, while the "CD 800" crosses are award types, I assume the same applies to the 2nd class crosses, making this a private purchase cross by Carl Dillenius, Pforzheim.

Which would also explain they are so much rarer than the "CD 800"s.
