The medals are genuine as are the devices on ribbon bar. I realized ribbons are probably new. could not beat the price for the over all pieces.

agree. The ribbon on the PLKV cross is wrong. I also doubt that this and the Kyffhauser medal would be on a bar with the Hindy cross. The mounting bar also appears to be a modern repro.

I would take the medals off and find original ribbons for all of them. As a group it's junk.

As the ebay seller states this is an authentic group, with 1970s replaced ribbons: No, it isn't. It's just a handfull of awards and tinnies, messed up in a nonsense group by some infamous ebay seller, done in 2013, or maybe in 2012. It does not tell any real story!

I was reading the inscription ...on the ebay auction .

German Great War Veterans Medal Bar!
All Medals and devices are authentic and period.
Medals are:
#1Iron Cross Second Class
#2Hindenburg Cross For Combat Participation
#3Veterans Group with Maas-Aisne Battle Participation Device
#4Veterans DRKB Iron Cross
It is highly unusual to see this combination on a Medal Bar.
Fabric on ribon bar was replaced post world war 2 appears to be 1970's Ribbon.
Even With the reproduction Ribbon The medals and devices are worth a great deal not only individually but as a set which tells this vets story.
The above listed grades and descriptions are my own interpretation and research.
