    Chris Moves Over

Chris has moved over to your forum here, a place that more accurately reflects his collecting interests.... but you know him well too, so no need for lengthy intros!

        Welcome aboard Chris!

Took long to find a second Moderator for us, but I think we could hardly find a better one!

        Best regards and all luck!

I knew there was a good reason why I don't actively recruit Imperial Militaria for my collection, you guys are led by an a$$ hole.

Seriously, Chris is a good guy and I've had some fun discussions with him. Congrats on the move and I will say Hi when I drop in from time to time to see some of the fine EKs that pop up around here
Interested in candid/private Hitler, KIA, and Holocaust photos. Also any AH related memorabilia--silverware, linen, crystal, china...
            All the best,
            Chris

She's really keen on EK documents. Also, there's a rumour going around that she just had breast implants!

I really haven't seen Chris here much? This is his main interest??? Now that's interesting.

Not this Chris - unless I missed a memo somewhere.

I recall a guy with this name in the Legion...is it the same person? He was the soldier propping the bodies up on the top rampart of the fort as the arabs attacked.

                              Hi Guys... its ME !

I am not much of a medals guy, but as you see, Seba has changed the description of the Imperial forum to include Imperial documents and so at long last... I have a home again.

The forum is really growing and because of the sheer amount of forums we have in here the days where we all know each other are long gone. So for those of you who dont know me, My major collecting fields are

                              1) WW1 Iron Cross docs (310 and counting)
                              2) British/South African cavalry/mounted troops gallantry award groups for WW1
                              3) Medals to Boers

At the moment David Gregory and myself (with the help of a few others) are working on a book about WW1 Iron cross documents, it is planned that it will be THE book on the subject, with hopefully over 300 examples... and it should set a new benchmark for document books, but it should also be of intrest to medal collectors and we are (hopefully) including a lot of interesting articles about the men and the conditions they were in to get the little bits of tin we all collect.

If there is anyone interested in joining us on this, please give me a shout.
Anyone with a bit of reference material and who can work a keyboard can contribute. Especially wanted are some German native speakers.

Other than that, I am happy to be here. As Mike says, Imperial is a forum that fuels itself, and there are members here who know much, much more about awards than I do, but someone has to be here to watch for Klingons.

Following after RickL and Stogieman I kinda feel like Peewee herman trying to fill John Candys underwear, but I am sure Daniel K. will help make up for any deficits.

                              Thanks
                              Chris
