    EK2 mm KO w/sand-cast core?

I recently picked this one up thinking it had a sand-cast core based on these pics. But now that I have the piece in hand I'm not so sure about this anymore. So what do you guys think? Thanks for your opinions.

    Best, Alex

    Hi Alex,
It very much does look from those pics to be an early cast core, and a nice looking cross all round . Do you have some of your own photos of the cross and makers mark?. Found a nice early cast KO myself last year with a casting flaw in the 1813 date.

    Regards ,
    Scott

Thanks for your opinion, Scott. I'm having camera problems at the moment so I can't provide my own pics. But as soon as I've sorted these out I'll post some. Thanks again.

        Hi Alex,

        Nice cross, congrats!

From what my eyes see from the photos you've provided, it has all the signs of a sand cast core.

        All the Best,

        Alan

I agree. I find this an uncommon combo -- a cast core, but KO's later frame. Probably one of the earliest examples to use this typical frame.
