    Rick Lundstrom

    Hi all.
It's been a while since I've participated in these forums, my life took a few turns and collecting had to take the back - back burner.
I pop my head in on occasion to see what's up and to say hello or comment if it's relevant - but this time I got quite the shock in hearing about Rick's accident.

Rick had the distinction in my life of becoming the 'best friend that I never met' and it happened in Die Kniepe, back when it was the wild wild west.

Rick was funny as hell and I will never forget the 'cartoon wars' with Francois Saez, the Richard Kimmel 'bits' and the good natured sparring with our other friends across the ocean that bonded our early group together. It was truly something special here when this place was tiny!

I regret that I lost touch with him over the years with him kinda going into 'hiding' for a bit and then me starting a family and so on...it happens.
I do also regret not meeting him in person, though we spoke on the phone a few times...
    Anyway - bye Rick.
I know you're sitting on a cloud with a cat or two going through the ultimate ranklist

Hello everyone else who may or may not remember me, I'll be back in earnest one day...when the kids are out of the house.
    See you then.

      Heya Greg!
Yep - I've a 3 year old and a 6 year old to keep me (and my money) busy!
      Hope you are well!

        Everything is good.
I understand the whole "no money" thing. I am between
jobs right now so buying crosses is definitely out of the
question but I still hang out here and try to add to the conversation.

        Take care Bill,

        Greg

Bill, I could not have said it any better.

Welcome back Bill. Rick is sorely missed. I was lucky enough to meet him and Paul at a show in Chantilly. He was quite the character.

              Hey guys.
So yeah, been looking through my private messages, and kinda trolling the web - coming up with names from the past that I'd forgotten from Bill Stump to his polar opposite - the ridiculous Richard Kimmel.

I then came upon some negativity and a bit of disrespect directed at Rick written posthumously, including a bit from a familiar name which was not surprising but still disappointing.
I'm never really surprised when sh1tty people show their true colors, but Rick wasn't a politician or ponzi scheme manager so the barbed comments were saddening.
