S.W marked EK1

Hi all,
I picked this S.W marked EK1 yesterday with a pile of other EK's,what I was wondering is the significance of the number 7 stamped into the under surface of the pin near the hinge?

Dave,

We've had threads on these "extra" marks and the concensus seems to be that they are a type of quality control mark. These marks are either numerals or letters of the alphabet.

Thanks for the info Eric I always wondered what the marks were for,are they on others makers besides S.W?
