    Silberne Medaille für Rettung

    Hi Guys
Thought I'd share this smal lot even if its not miltary related.

I bought it earlier today and it has belonged to a Swedish kaptain that apparently save some German sailors from a shipwreck in 1911.

A nice framed silver medal "für rettung schiffbrüchiger" and urkund and a cased binocular with a plaque.

I cant realy make out the name of the German ship named on the plaque, is it Erna? Anyway to find out anything about this ship and the shipwreck?

    Cheers
    /Bjorn
