Help identifying medals in a 5-place group.

Hi folks. I just acquired a bunch of stuff. This great Godet & Co. medal bar was one of the items. I identified most of them, but hoped you experts would verify the medal identifications. I don't know if it's appropriate (I'm new here), but is it possible to get a value estimate on this group from you folks?

The vet that brought this stuff home was a 69th infantry div. veteran. The banjo boards I have inquired about in the uniform section, and the 2 banners came together. They are great pieces.

Very nice bar and welcome to the forum. The bar was mounted in the mid to late 1930s, I would say.

Some people would say it's not appropriate to ask about value here, but I never could understand why.

The orders are (from left to right):
    1. EK2 (Prussia)
    2. Hindenburg Cross with swords (Germany)
    3. Crown Order 4th Class (Prussia)
    4. Order of the White Falcon Knight's Cross (Grand Duchy of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach)
    5. Military Merit Cross (Austria)

If I'm wrong about the last two, someone please correct me; Austria and the smaller German states are not really my area.

The White Falcon is the most valuable piece and in silver gilt, which I think yours is, it's worth in the neighborhood of $1000 depending on condition, which is hard to judge from your (too small) photos. The other four together are worth maybe $450, so I guess this bar would fetch about $1500. Godet is a premiere and desirable label so that might add something to it.

I would most definitely wait for some more experienced valuations from other members because I could be a bit off.
    Best regards,
    Streptile

      Thank you!

Thanks so much for the help! I have found myself drawn, once again, to the beautiful German material. I've trieo resist this area, simply to allow me to focus and save some money, but I can't fight the temptation anymore! So, I need to educate myself and the experts are clearly here. Thanks in advance for helping me.

        A pleasure Chris.

I hope someone else will add a comment to confirm or correct what I wrote, since there are many here more experienced than I in this field.

That is a pretty good assessment.

I believe that White Falcon order is a 2nd class...

I think Streptile did an excellent job appraising that fine medal bar.

                Thanks for votes of confidence.

If the White Falcon is a 2. Class (not gilt silver, but rather just plain silver, or even silvered brass) then the value is substantially less. Chris, can you tell if the White Falcon is supposed to be gold or silver in color?

Also, can you check to see if there is a mark on the KO4? Maybe in the spots I've put arrows on, and maybe marked "ZEHN"?

                  The White Falcon is silver.

The White Falcon is siver. The K04 has what looks like a capital "Z" on its side on the left edge, and what looks like the end of a pin (maybe for holding parts together?) on the right edge. I see an identical pin in the opposite corner - upper left. Hope that helps.

OK, thanks Chris. I thought the KO4 was a Zehn; the shape of the Zehns is distinctive, with arms flared more like an Iron Cross. The pin you note holds the central medallions in place.

So lewjian was right about the White Falcon; it's a Knight's Cross 2. Class. Unfortunately the value of the bar just dropped by +/- $500...
