    4-Place Medal Bar for review

Could I please have your opinions on this bar? It looks good to me but to be sure I'd appreciate some feedback from you bar experts out there. I'd also be grateful if someone could ID the 2 medals on the bar. Thanks.

    Best, Alex

    To me it looks good.
Third medal is Hungarian commemorative medal for 1914-18 and last one is Bulgarian commemorative medal for combatants.

Thanks Miro! So I take it the recipient must have seen some action in Hungary and Bulgaria during the war?

Not necesarilly. All former Central Powers veterans could apply for the medal.

          Hi mate,

I have one almost exactly like it in construction and pin which also includes a makers name--- long lost brothers maybe?
          Hopefully the pics are helpful.
Yours looks to be in fine condition.

          Cheers,

          Jamie

Looks like it was made yesterday. Ribbons so clean and colors so bright... not something I'd want. Just my opinion.
            Thanks,

I like it. It has obviously been stored well.

Thanks for sharing your pics, Jamie. Nice bar. But the maker's tag on the back looks brand new in comparison to the rest of the bar. Do you know if it was added long after the bar's original construction?

Actually, at first I too was concerned about the near mint condition of this bar. But I've since learned that bars often weren't worn much. So this one may be one of those.

Very nice grouping, Scott. And thanks to the feedback I've received in this thread I was led to this related site:

                          Hi,

                          I don't know--- within minutes???
The pics of the makers name do look somewhat washed out. I assure you it looks its age in hand.

Here is a pic of another bar (here on WAF) http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru....php?p=5927140

The thread which holds the makers name and address is the same as mine, as with the sewing of the backing + the backing itself.
Thanks for the concern. Mine is a little dirty and had moth issues, such is life.

                          Cheers,

                          Jamie

Here's another shot of the medal bar which finally arrived today from Germany. I must say that I'm very pleased with it.
