Then again not all noncombatant EKs are mounted on white/black ribbons.....as this bar illustrates.

Thanks for all the examples guys, I'm definitely learning. here. I would ask what the current market is for one (on a medal bar) but my guess it would be determined by what else it's paired with? If its one of 5-6 with rare awards its probably $1000-1500 but say its by itself or only with a cross of honor maybe more like $400-500?

I'm sure its impossible to nail down an exact number but am curious if there is general consensus on a range.

Here's one not often found, a Godet single mounted example.

I don't think that a single iron cross would be worth anywhere near that. I collect mounted non-combatant awards and for me a non-combatant EK is quite common (not to sound smug, its just my opinion and experience). Bear in mind that since Prussia was he largest state, the EK would be the most common of the awards awarded on both types of ribbons. The next rarest are the Bavarian beamtenband awards, then the Brunswick, Mecklenburg and Oldenburg awards. If you want really rare, try finding a mounted non combatant Treue Dienst Kreuz from Schaumburg-Lippe (281 awarded). I would be hesitant in paying 500 dollars for a non-combatant cross from any of these smaller states, never mind the EK!

PS: If you happen to find a Schaumburg Lippe Non-Combattant cross, pm me

Also, a medal bar with a non-combatant EK with a Konig Ludwig Kreuz and HK just ended on ebay. There is one still available with a nichtkampfer EK and some other medals including a Saxe-Coburg-Gotha Carl Eduard medaille

The cross is a godet - but not the single parade mounted bar.

Does anyone else agree with this conclusion? How do you know that the bar itself was not produced by Godet? I'd welcome any opinions on this please. Thanks.

                              Hi Alex,

It's not Godet's typical mounting style.

The cross on this one is a Meybauer but the mounting is typical for Godet:

in this case I would keep in mind ,,
it was common practice that contractors ordered medals at producers like Godet wile using they're own mountings , and ribbon .

                                But let there be noted,,
nobody knows how many different styles of mounting devices ......Godet itself ...... used over the years,,,, (or not) .
so the thread starter can be a godet mounting just the same ...

ps ,, in Germany this style of mounting was called,,,, kraus ( krause ) decoration .

                                regards kay
