Hello Gentlemen, Here is a interesting set of documents from the family of a member of the 7th Regiment Jager zu Pferde. The IC award document is very large (can't get it all on the scanner). It appears to be signed by a General. Whats new to me is the second document which I think is a pass issued by the French occupation after the war to the wife of the Jager who earned the IC. Any opinions on the second document?

Hello Bobby.
The second document as indicated on it is an identification card for the occupied areas following WW I. It seemingly pertains to a relative of the recipient of the I.C. as you indicated.
Of note by what I can read of the card, is the obligation that all persons older than 12 must be in posession of this card .
It is not widely known that passive and also sabotage resistance efforts against the occupying forces of France and Belgium started in the 1920's . In addition secession movements in the Rhineland with the strong support of France had some impact. All the above mentioned events probably made it necessary to have the population carry I.D. with them at all times.
