Ribbon Bar Device Question

Is the device on the Barvarian ribbon for a MVK3 with swords and crown or is it for a 4th class medal Thanks for your help

Chris,

There is no way to know precisely to which class did this device belong. Most likely it looks like a BMVK 1. Kl. mit Krone u. Schwertern (senior NCO decorations), since the device is gilted. I could be also BMVO 3. Kl. mit Krone u. Schwertern, but the 3rd class for senior officers were so rarely (statistically) awarded, that you can most definately be sure that is not the case. Furthermore if this was the case the ribbon could have been much much longer with lots of other orders.

I would say therefore BMVK 1.Kl. mit Kr.u.X!

There is a way.

This is simply the wrong device for a MVK3 with X and Crown. Sometimes they used the wrong device for that. No way for a MVO3 or MVK3 here. Awards were STRICTLY done by Rank, so MVO3 with crown to Colonels, MVK3 with crown ADDITIONAL award for seeenior NCOs. Both cases are not possible for this bar.
This was a brave junior NCO or enlisted man.
