The eyes have it

This just came in the mail today. Seems to be an ordinary medal bar from the late 90's to a non combattant in the 70/71 War.

Lets turn it over and take a look at the back. Hmm, well made but unbacked bar with a little scrap of frayed emerald green and peacock blue material tucked under the KDM ribbon.

Now lets take a closer look. Holy aviaries, Batman it's not a piece of material, its a neatly trimmed peacock "eye" and another dove grey feather tucked under the ribbons and seemingly wrapped around the bar
