Here i am again: Prinzen EK1 1914 - to buy or not?

    Hi there,
and since i still didnt find a Prinzen EK1 from 1914 that makes me happy i Keep asking for those i find around. This one has a 800 Silver-mark on the cross and on the disk. Measures 34mm and has a quite thick paint applyed. The details of crown and Date-ciphers are therefore a bit of "unsharp".

Please lets hear your opinions to this one.

    Thanks
    Ubisacco

It´s the same Meybauer style of cross as the Sedlatzek marked pinback from beck militaria we discussed before (It was you, if I remember correctly).
Depends on price but I´d take it.

...but if it´s that overpriced piece from one german dealer´s site (you know I don´t mean beck now), I would leave it where it is.

        Hello MiroO,
yes that was me and i am still looking.
Its the same style, but i cant discern if a good one or not. As others could not get a clear judgement with the one Beck has.
So if i understand you right you would take it. Question is the Price, since i dint make any offer yet because of my doubts. What do you suggest as a good average Price. I dont mean a bargain, nor a top expensive Price.

        thanks

It is hard to say what is good price, nowadays... But if I was from Germany, I´d try different methods than checking the dealer´s sites.

              Do you have a sugestion?
I was lately on a Militaria-fair in Kassel and hoped to find fellow collectors. Instead i found lots of untreatable people. Maybe i am expecting to much. And the Dealers mostly trying to sell their junk.
The most honest and friendly collectors i found were here in the Forum.
I dont know, do you have other resources than auctions and fairs? Would be glad to hear your way.

              Cheers

I believe a disc is missing from this Prinzen.

Contact member Roglebk and see if he has any Prinzen EK1s for sale. All will be original and, while they won't be cheap, they'll be nice.
                Best regards,
                Streptile

Looking for ROUND BUTTON 1939 EK1 Spange cases (LDO or PKZ)

                  Thank you Streptile.
I allready did as you suggested. We are expecting him to return from his journey. Sorrily the Meybauer he had was away before i could even notice. And since then i Keep looking for a Meybauer Prinzen from 1914!

Collecting is always about looking for pearls in the mud. Same can be said about people.
