German Imperial Awards

Why do you collect German Imperial Awards? Is it the beauty that some of the awards have? Historical meaning? Variety of states to choose from? Cost relative to 3rd Reich medals and badges?

For me, it is a combination of all these reasons. But if I had to narrow down the most important reason, for me, is the historical context of the medals.
