Almanach de Gotha

Guys;

Am I correct that the Almanach de Gotha only covered royal and princely families? Is there a reference for mere barons, etc.? (That would be a shelf-full!) Or is there a forum of "noble-nuts"? Incidentally, they started to produce the Almanach again a few years ago. I will try to peek into the on-line catalogs of some libraries, especially the U of Penn lib where my wife works and where she has blessed faculty lending privileges, like 15 month loans.

I assume you are asking about GFM Edwin Frhr. von Manteuffel. The 1913 Freiherr Handbook provides the following information for the third line of the Frhr. von Manteuffel family:

Hans-Karl Frhr. von Manteuffel (1773-1844) His son was the GFM

Edwin Frhr. von M. (1809-1885) married Hertha von Witzleben (1815-1879) on 16. Jan 1844. They had two children:

Isabelle (1844-??) a nun

Job (1852-1911) He married Valeska Gräfin von Schmettow (1859-??) They had four children, Hertha, Valeska, Isabella-Katharina and Johann-Karl.
