Could anyone give me a rough idea of what the following would cost in very good condition

Prussian
1) nice EM spiker with gold hardware
2) Ditto kriegsmetal hardware
3) one of the green felt ones
4) Officers

and the same again for the Bavarians.

About 3 years ago I sold my really nice Prussian EM for about EUR400 and am now looking for a representative Spiker for the den.

This is going to be a real wishy washy answer. It depends on condition, type and sometimes the shade of the moon, but a standard OR brass type Prussian maybe $450+.

M15 grey Prussian maybe $350

Felt ones are very varied so I would say more.

A Prussian line Officer about $900+

The issue is there are just so many different types, models and makes. Then you ask about Bavarian and all I can say is more money. <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:State w:st="on"><ST1Bavaria</ST1</st1:State> made so many different ersatz types it is hard to generalize. Tony would be a great resource when he gets back on line.

Prices on eBay are wild. Sometimes junk goes for much and good does not hit the reserve. In general, the bottom end is overpriced and the top end under priced. Dealers will of course increase prices to cover their costs. Private sales I think still offer the best cost value.

I know this is not what you are looking for but it is a hard question to pin down.
