Well, I think that UN's world Heritage list needs much more important things than our medals...

Regarding my collar, here you are a picture of the complete piece: it's a pity that the closure piece was missing and was restored by me, adding a gold, but later one:

I would like to post the pictures of my wartime Knight's Cross of the Leopold Order with Kriegsdekoration, made by Messrs. Rozet & Fischmeister, Vienna, to compare with the beautiful and rare piece in gold of the same manufacturer, posted by Avensis.

This gilt bronze piece, was my very first Leopold Order, found in Pergine Valsugana back in 1978. That day, I was feeling like having found a Golden Fleece with brilliants...

Just to keep this topic alive, I would like to post the pictures of another type of Commander's Cross of the Leopold Order with War Decoration and Swords.

It's a piece awarded during WW1, made of gilt silver and enamels. What makes it quite uncommon, it's because the maker is Mayer's Söhne, Vienna, instead of the well known Rothe:

...and a very uncommon medal bar with two oders, belonged to a Swedish person.

The first a Knight's Cross of the Swedish Sword Order (gold and enamels); the second, is a Swedish "version" of the Austrian Leopold Order (the piece is also in gold and enamels:

All who follow regularly imperial section, and especially the ones who are interested in Austro-Hungarian/Austrian awards, know that Enzo has an amazing collection.

What keeps me amazed, is that no matter how rare stuff he shows, he is ALWAYS able to show even nicer pieces continuosly

Enzo's collection is like Mariana's Trench, you never can predict what's coming up to surface from there
