The W1 allies were short of binocs and grabbed anything these look like pre W1 commercial the Brits for example usually marked them with the broad arrow often a unit.
The British had a similar looking model made by Ross they are not very good maybe thats why German models were such a coveted souvenir, lucky for us.
Collectors sometimes make a mistake of seeing an MG stamp on French models assuming its for machine gun but its a French military stamp for I forget the translation...'???....Guerre'.

I have a similar pair to the one on the left in your first photo. They are French made, but when you adjust the tubes out there is a biplane and RFC etched into one of them. It's a professionally done job and I believe they were issued to British forces, but sourced from French manufacturers.
