            Hi there, at present one is up for sale on the Estand to give you an idea of price. Also the last word in your translation (ring) should read "iron"

            These are nice patriotic items that show what the people did to aid the war effort.

              Hi, this is an American "gold for iron" ring, given out for herr Henry Mielke out in his phonograph/photography shop in New York City in 1914,
              to those supporting the german war effort.
              Herr Mielke is the man in the hat on the right and her daughter Henrietta is giving a ring to a supporter.
              Value wise, depends on the condition, the legibility of the legend and ring size.
              You can find them regularly on eBay going from $25 to even $125, but a median range of $30-$40 is currently a fair price.
              The same design but on the shape of a flat brooch with pin, gets higher prices, since are more rare.
