Iron Cross II. Kl. Maker?

I have this very nice EK2. Does anyone recognise the maker mark "DM" or maybe it's "WO"?!

It is very hard to make out.

The ribbon is a reproduction and just for display purposes.

Hi Pierce,

Firstly I will say I love the dark patina on this cross
Now after some eye straining comparisons and picture enlargements I think this may well be a WB/We marked cross.
Hope this is of some help
