IMO it looks to be a genuine late production stamped core "KO" ,showing some nice patina and wear to the beading. Can't comment on the ribbon as not able to see enough of it in the photos you've posted.
Could post photos of the ribbon and makers mark please.

As best as can be judged from a photo the ribbon looks to be OK (IMO)
The "KO" makers mark is correct for the period of the cross as well ,so with that . Congratulations on a fine looking 1914 "KO" marked EK2
