    info WW1 Observer Badge "emblem"

    Hi Guys

I've done WAF and Internet searches, but have only come up with 'kaisersbunker.com' info regarding the "emblem/flag" on the WW1 Observer Badge - quote "The Observer's badge carries an enameled flag of the German tactical symbol for an Army Corps.." (pic attached) - does anyone have more info or website links, photos of an actual Army Corps tactical symbol etc?

    Kind Regards, Ian

PS - also looking to purchase WW1 Observer Badge (Prussian Crown), unmarked, reasonable condition.

    Hi Guys

I have recently been fortunate in obtaining a WW1 Observer Badge, period late war example (unmarked, Juncker die) - however my search continues for confirmation regarding the "correct description" of the square enameled flag device on this badge.

To date, I have only found these 2 descriptions:

    - "enameled flag of the German tactical symbol for an Army Corps"[kaisersbunker.com]
    - "black and white flag of the German General Staff" [Robert S. Pandis]

Any info/assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards, Ian

Found the info that I require - thanks to a link supplied by 'Konigtiger' in another Imperial thread

"1885 square ensign of the German Army High Command (Armeeoberkommando)"

Just some anecdotal info...the badge was also used by the Pfadfinder (boy scouts).
