Real or repro uniform

I have just started collecting pre-1910 Imperial German Uniforms. I am trying to purchase as much reference material as I can. My question is how to you identify a reproduction uniform? Any tips you can give me to stop the fakes is a big help. Thanks.

There isn't any one or two, or even ten things you can list to tell a repro from the real deal. Until you get your feet wet, I'd suggest having your purchases vetted through the forum as well getting your hands on as much reference material as you can.
