    dealer list member /Ebay

lately I do feel often that the imperial section is used More as a Ebay authentication platform ....then a collectors forum .

items approved here go to the Estand ,,items criticized appear on EBAY (mostly).

sure a lot of members are active on ebay so it gos hand in hand with collecting.

all do I feel it would be fair if members who give there opinion,
know what it is fore,,,,,, before they're go in to a thread ...

would like to know what other collectors think about it.
And if there would be some idea's.

    .

    regards Monty

I have no problem of posting photos of medals on the forum before someone buys the medal. But don't need the link tags saying an ebay item or other source. Most want to be sure the item is original before buying it. Where else can a novice etc. get help before the purchasing of an item?

I also have no problem with members posting potential purchases on the forum. Members, especially newer members, want to be confident with their purcahases. This is a great forum to get that confidence. If an item is deemed as a fake and ends up on ebay anyways, perhaps we should suspend or expel the forum memeber.

What disappoints me is when I post a subject posing a question or prompting discussion and the participation is sparse.

The forum is what the members want to make of it.

I have to agree with both points that Carl has made above.
Some out there don't have the funds to risk on a higher priced item, and lack the knowledge to know for sure if something is bad. The input of more experienced collectors is an invaluable asset to a newer collector. I myself don't use EBAY as I prefer to obtain my items through trusted members of this forum and dealers that stand behind what they sell.

          all well spoken ,,but

          here's the thing ,,,,,,

A tread is started by a innocent looking collector .

presenting himself lets say like,,,,,,,,he don't have the funds to risk on a higher priced item, and lack the knowledge to know for sure if something is bad .
          a member collector living in the U S A

          the item is questionable so,,,,
only criticism comes,,, from the More experienced collector..

in the end criticism is put aside and the item appears on Ebay as possible so and so ...

by a German seller on ebay germany ..??????????????????

well I am (the more experienced collector) and I am done with this sh.t

all I see on this imperial section are dealer tourist coming over here with they're sceems ,wheeling and dealings and it all stinks up top heaven

          Wy not be honnest ?????

I like to help out ,,but not that way !

I wonder if others noticed some odd ongoings around here the last few years ?

                Mho

Ok, let me share my point of view, I am one of those novice and unversed collector, I don't have the budget to hit and miss as many times I like, so for every purchase I made I rather be 90 % sure the item I buy is genuine, since I work hard for the money, sometimes I have to save a month just to buy a piece under US$100, don't chuckle here not kidding..
So I decided since the forum is so informative I will pay my dues to become an association member and read all the info available and from time to time rely in the good will and wisdom of fellow members to help me make a conscientious buy. For this I am truly in debt to all of you.
I don't agree to show an item to get information and then sell it in eBay in a daily basis to make a profit, since it is consulting and not paying due royalties to those giving an opinion in good faith.
So for those who have giving me your personal opinion in the past a big and sincere Thank you, and hoping you can come to the rescue in the near future.
                Thank you,
                Vellocino
