Front looks good, need to see the backside though. What price will you be asking for this one?

                Hi Jens,

I can't say that I like the pin assembly very much. Also--the lack of rivets or wire used to affix the crescent and Schlesien shield is worriesome.

                  Hello Eric

                  Thanks,

A major german dealer in the Hamburg Area, said it might be a replacement after 45 .

                    Hi Jens,

First impression is that the dealer may be right. Looks like a 57er hinge/pin - similar to that nice Souval KVK1 that Jim (Panzerman) discussed recently. It's a strange colour as well. Doesn't look like it was even black.

The absence of rivets/hooks may not be such a problem - I've seen images of quite a few second and first classes with no rivets. Some of them were probably one piece stampings, but I'm pretty sure some of them had separately applied moon/schield as well. I'm certainly not as knowledgeable on this award though, so maybe someone else can provide something more definitive.

                    Regards
                    Mike K

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

I also think that. The 57ers were produced in all shapes and forms. I have also seen the EKI from WWI in 57 Form.
Nice piece, are you going to sell it?
