            Hi

nice pieces, the case for the first class is fine.
For the second class I think it's a juweler case.
But am not sure if the 1 class cross and the
case belong together. I would await an awarded
            type cross, but why not.
Interesting would be to know something about
the marker from that cross. I believe this one
belongs not to a "Knauer" production but am not
            sure about it.

About the open and closed 4 am I didn't made
            researches on it.
I count the browning pieces to the early ones and
the blacked pieces as later ones.
That Schickle cross looks good too, typical 30th years
            production.

nice looking wessel - but the 1st class was only awarded if you have gotten the
2nc class bevor. so the 2nc class is missing on the bar.

Very interesting subject we open and hope we can get some good results from it, great crosses from all too.

Dear Nightstalker, your I Class cross is an unmarked MEYBAUER, did you match the cross with the KNAUER box or you bought it like this from the seller?

                Regards
                Emanuel

I bought it like that from the seller.
Had no clue about the maker of the cross.
Is this confirmed that it's Meybauer?

                  Greetings

Yes, trust me it's a Meybauer.

You can compare your cross with one of this maker that is marked.

See first the "dropping 9"as it's slight lower than the rest of the numbers, the design of 4, then the Crown and the number of 3 diamonds ,the F design and the thick cycle which includes F.A. letters.

Last but no least, the hardware of the cross with pin and catch.

I would say these dish-back croosses considered to be a St&L production. And Knauer type had flat back.
