Here a chamberlainkey (?) awarded in 1864 from Adolf, Duke of Nassau, to the Baron Moritz von Nauendorf, that I found last on Ebay.

very interesting key - or should i better say award.

is it common that the silver golded wire is lost (the one you've shown still have it, but the one on the blck and white pic in your articel don't have one)?

The key on the b&w pic is just a sample from an old catalog. It´s not mine, but the wire was lost.
