Hi Mike, feel free to save the photos for your own use, no problem. Type 1 Crown order had the small crown from 1861 through 1866. From 1867 through 1918, the larger crown was used. The fourth class cross is always bronze gilt, not sure what you mean by silver?? Most Crown orders I've handled are by Wagner, with the occasional item being a Godet (Hallmarked respectively, W or G)

There is a PCO 2nd, silver gilt. What is the difference between silver gilt and the standard finish?

Missed that, thought you were talking about another one. The Second Class cross can be found in fine silver, that's been gilded, or in Gold, depending on the Kaiser's pocketbook! prior to 1915, these would have almost always been gold, once gold became short during the war, silver gilt replaced it.
