    Hi,
    A new thread to show you this little spange from a 1870-71 fighter. I realy like it, what can this spange learn us about his original owner?

        What can this spange learn to us?
        Not a rich man, the veteran have perhaps buy the empty spange and he had put the ribbbon on it, and no town clasp.
        Of course after 1897, before WW1?
        What else?

          Not much else to say. It's a"generic" franco-prussian war spange for a veteran at the turn of the century. Before Ww1, I'd say. Not necessary assembled by veteran, can be a less experienced spange-maker in small town. Nice one nonetheless. These spanges, although common, come in many variations, so you can have lots of pleasure with collecting them.

            Hi, and thank you for the reply.
            You're right it's a great pleasure to collect this kind of spangen, not expansive, not much fake (due the price of course) but a lot of personality! A part of history low priced in our hands!
