Nice Frackspange in strange combination

Here I got a nice Frackspange (reverted combination for civilian wear) from Helmut Weitze in a strange combination.

- Landwehr-Long Service 1. Class for 20 years (real silver, medaillons look like real gold ?)

- Kreuz für Kriegshilfsdienst (WITH MAKERS MARK "F"; never seen such a cross with maker!!!!!!! Could be Friedländer, Berlin)

-Hindenburg Cross (NON-COMBATANT; makers mark "W. D.", maybe Wilhelm Deumer, Lüdenscheid?)

-EK II 1914 (COMBATANT; makers mark "KO")

I ever thought everyone who heard a shot during the war got the combatant Hindenburg cross. But this guy got the non-combatant BUT the EK on combatant-ribbon. Any ideas?

I've seen "F" initial marked War Effort Crosses, maybe "G" too, don't remember-- but this thread will get people to look at theirs!

The Landwehr XX was made out of silver, with very heavy gold plated centers.

As for "combatant" Iron Cross with NON-combatant Hindenburg Cross-- it is either a weird "black white" noncombatant (see thread back in our old pages "Three Types of Iron Cross") or, somebody has switched a Hindenburg Cross with swords and put one without swords. Impossible to say without checking for resweing, or without the recipient's award documents!

Try a search for "white-black" (with the dash between) and the old threads should come up. Rick

RICK, my bar is NOT resewn or "faked". Everything is old and correct, all medals are "secured" with an old twine.
It is really one of the Non-Combat/Combat-EK-Bars!!! GREAT!!!
