    My New Noncombatant Medal Bar!

Look what arrived in the mail today!

I just couldn't resist myself when I came across this one.

Lately I've found myself strangely drawn to Noncombatant items.
I wonder why? Maybe something in the water??

I wounder what capacity this person served? Doctor, Nurse, maybe a volunteer of some type. But to receive the Noncombatant EK2 didn't some type of heroic act of service have to take palce?

Also has a nice maker tag on the back from "J.Godet & Sohn".

    What do you guys think.

Great bar, Chris. Especially with the Altenburg medal. The Godet maker tag is the ice on the cake. Nice!

        all the best,
        Gerd

          Thanks guys.

Yes, this one is probably the new "star" of my collection.

Rick- Thanks for clearing up the EK2 question for me, I have only one other but it's on a ribbon bar.

And the Altenburg medal, to think 1 of only 705, WOW!!!
Thanks for checking the rolls for me, I would be so excited if this could be ID'ed.
          Regards,
          Chris

                  Thank you Rick!

Awesome research & deductive reasoning skills, I feel like I'm truly in the presence of the master!

Fascinating stuff, so it looks like the field is narrowing. I could see the owner of this bar being heavily involved in industrial war effort activities.

Would the combination or precedence of the awards indicate where the recipient was from. As in the EK2 & Prussian war aid first, well I suppose the EK2 is always first, but meaning it was a Prussian's bar?

Or because the bar was assembled by a German firm, the order of the awards were determined by the prescribed German precedence of awards at the time?

Just a couple of things I was wondering.
                  Regards,
                  Chris

That is one sweet bar and equally "sweet", being able to trace the piece. I hope you find the recipient...

If only there was a roll for the Baden War Effort cross!

Well, thank you so much Rick for the time & effort you put in to this, I really appreciate it & it's been a great learning experience for me.

So if this is a non-Altenburger, in your reference how many does that whittle it down to? To bad there's no way to cross refference w/ Prussian records, or do they even exsists anymore?
                        Regards,
                        Chris
