I have no opinion on the cross but the ribbon is nice. It was most likely put on the cross in modern times but still a nice original ribbon.

Sure you can never no when stuff had been put together, but you can't know if you have a "combat" EK2 just because it came with a black ribbon with white stripes as well

That cross is marked "R"? Surprise to me...

I have two marked 'R's with wildly different cores. Neither of them match this one.

Can we get a picture of the marker mark? Also, can you check the jumpring for any 'extra' marks (perhaps something like a 'T' or 'xx')?
