German Army Imperial Stein

Hi Guys, I believe this is a Imperial German Army military stein, but I don't know for sure. Any comments or opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any engraving on the lid to either a soldier, unit, veterans organization?? Is the lid pewter or does it have a silver content to it?

Hi Kondor, Thanks for looking. The top of the stein is pewter. No marking except for a triangle with the letter E engraved in the center. This is on the pewter piece of the handle. The engraving on the glass is cut into the glass.

John, It's a nice drinking stein, probably post WW1 as you have the helmet on the wreath. Too bad there isn't any other kind of markings on the lid.
