    1914 EK 2 in maker's packet

While sorting out some of my bits and pieces, I found the time to photograph this EK2 in its packet. I thought it might interest those of you that like to see which cores were used by which makers.

Sorry about this blurred general view.

    All the best,

    David

          Hi David,

Is the interior of the packet reinforced in any way, or is it merely a sheet of paper?

Is the maker's mark attributed to Rosenthal of Berlin?

          Very nice cross!

            Hi Eric,

The packet is just plain stiff folded blue paper with the red logo, which I assume can be attributed to Rosenthal of Berlin.

The only thing wrong with the medal is that the suspension ring is broken (cracked), but you have to know where to look to find the break.

Medals and crosses are not really my thing, but I like to have a few to match the documents which are what I really crave. I don't go out of my way to find items in cases or their original packets, but they are nice to have when they are this good.

            All the best,

            David
