I have never had a genuine Werner piece, but as Rick said - have a look at those
pieces, the thugra is made very bad and the finish looks very new.
I saw the first of them ~ 1 year ago as i did some research about it in the in net.
Werner made only high quality medals/orders and plaketten/abzeichen.
I think the shown piece of Canbaz bey homepage "Bild 16 Eiserner Halbmond für Generale" with case

These start to pop up so often and all of them seem to be aged the same way. I think they start to make a marvelous job with the obverse but they still can not do the same elegant style of the pin. When I compare these to my JH Werner, it is so obvious that these new ones did not came out of the same talented jeweler.
