The simplified strap pattern came out in at the beginning of 1915. There were several changes made in short order. First, the tongues were ordered to be dropped, then the pipings were dropped. At the same time, modifications were being made to the tunics. There was no M10 enlisted shoulder strap. This pattern (with the tongue and piping) came out originally with the M07 infantry tunic and did not change until the war started.

This particular simplified one is from the b.I.R.21.

The other three are of the pattern of September 21, 1915. You have two infantry types and one field artillery.

Finding shoulder straps from a particular unit is not necessarily easy (especially when you are looking for a specific one). There are units that turn up more often here in the States, as this was a common souvenir item that could be sent home in a letter. So, the units that Americans faced turn up with more regularity. Regiments that spent the entire war on the Eastern Front are more difficult to find, but there were not that many that did not go back an forth from the west to the east. If you are in Great Britain or France or Australia, you will find a slightly different mix for the reason stated above. The straps you have shown are all relatively common patterns. I have both of the M15 infantry examples that you have shown in my own collection.

I assume that 460 and 461 would be tougher because of their being at Belleau Wood
