    The International Medal Collector magazine

    There is a great article in this months issue that discusses whether the award of the EK was cheapened during WW1. It is written by our very own Chris Boonzaier. Well done Chris. I think we have touched on the subject here but Chris actually uses facts and figures to support his argument.

    Some of you other smart guys should consider writing articles for it. Perhaps we can steal some more collectors from the realm of zinc and swazs.......

      There is actually a name for these guys...

      Swazincers...

      In Poland a "Swazincski" in France a "Swazinceaux" in Israel a "Swazingoy" ... ;-)

            In wiriting the article, did you have a chance to see some of the WWI-era New York Times stories on the EK that I posted about a year ago?

Here are some interesting New York Times Articles from WWI re: both classes of the Iron Cross and the attitudes of at least some Germans especially toward the large number of EK2's awarded. Please let me know if you cannot open the links.....
