As ever your pics are just beautiful, Robert. Great cross as well.

Here are pics of both my EK2 and EK1 S-W matched set.

            Nice cross Robert

S-W, like every big maker, used multiple cores. One of their nicest, in my opinion, is the so-called "Type B 1914" which is modeled on the famous (Godet-made?) Type B 1870 core. I don't know but I I guess this was the first core they used.

They made it in 2. Class versions:

..and also in 1. Class versions:

              Lovely crosses Trevor,

I especially admire your photography, very 'warm' and at the same time offering the viewer very clear detail.

nice collection you are building over there.
the different types of cores used by sw can be a collection on its own .

(ps Z used the b type core as well)

                regards kay

                        Nice crosses Scott,

If I'm not mistaken I believe yours have the same cores as my cross. The '3' in the reverse date really stands out on these. Am I close, or are there differences?

Hi Robert, While both mine and yours have the same '7' topped three there are a few differences across the rest of the cores Your cross has a long foot on the 4 and the crowns also contain subtel variations [yet this could be due to casting] and the stems of the oak leaves tail differently. But I do feel that both of my cross's are in fact the same all be it that one is better cast than the other
