    EK2 for review

I got this cross today. I would appreciate any comment as to the maker. It has quite large beading on the frame. Magnetic core

Can these inperfections in paint - bubbles, dust - be factory done? I don't believe, so I think this cross was repainted later. The cross itself looks okay to me, but probably expert cas sey more.

Thanks for reply. It did cross my mind that it could be repainted but there is not one bit of paint in the beading. I had a repainted cross before and it was clear by bits of paint in the beading ridges. If it has been painted it was done expertly I think.

I think we will need focused, large photos to say if it's repainted, or guess at the maker.
            Best regards,

Hope they show the frame is 'clean' of paint. Also the maker mark.

I looked at my humble collection and found one cross with such paint flaws too. It looks period (don't have pics at the moment), so I hope that was period unperfection.

I am 110% sure its genuine. I have seen WW2 ek2 with less than perfect finish. Like I say, if there was any paint on the frame then yes its messed with. I still don't quite know the maker though. The mark does not give any clues?!
