I've just seen Helmut Weitze's latest update - brilliant, but I'm glad I don't collect imperial!!!

I'm guessing here, but it's probably the various devices that are driving the price of that ribbon bar through the stratosphere. Recently this ribbon bar went for close to $600:



The catalog value of the bars was the driving factor behind the price of that sale, since apparently it's questionable whether or not they could all legitimately belong on the same ribbon bar.

... I do not care for any of the EK devices on that bar.... way too crude for my comfort needs.
