EK II 1914 maker identification

This doesnt look like CD 800 to me, I think it's something else "G+something, 69 or...? Any better info/guesses?

I fear it's not a "better guess", but I'd say this is indeed a really badly stamped "CD" and nothing else.

Is it WW or MM or M III or none of these...

The mark looks like "M-M" to me.

By the way, anyone noted the factory owners Meyle & Mayer from Pforzheim? Just an idea, based on the Scharfenberg article.

Meyle & Mayer did supply the GOK with 2nd class crosses, e.g. 2,000 in 2nd quarter of 1916.

Looks like cross has been polished from the edges, but what might have happened to core?

Well... Can't complain, seller asked 5 eur for it. He said it's a copy/reproduction because so shiny and bad paint. I didn't want to start arguing with him about that

DAMN!!!!!!
Someone has cleaned that poor cross with some harsh cleaner [paint thinners?] hence the bubbling and loss of paint on core
Aside from that cross looks good ,and at 5euro I'd have brought it too
