    Hi,

Found this on Ebay. Anyone heard of such a thing before? What are your opinions on this pin.

He gave it to his mother after he died. Very nice of him.

Nice to see that the red baron already knew what the ww2 era nsfk logo would be!

Do a search for Snyders on the collectors and members forum. All will be answered.

            From the listing:
"He was shot down and killed on <st1:date year="1918" day="21" month="4">21 April 1918</st1:date>, shortly before he gave this pin to his mother."

He gave it to her after he was killed?!?

My GAWD the quality is FANTASTIC! I especially admire the way the jeweler crafted the big blob of solder on the reverse into the likeness of Manfred.

"He was shot down and killed on 21 April 1918 shortly before he gave this pin to his mother"

Only a loving son comes back from the grave to give his mother a gift, (wiping a tear from my eye right now....sniff) And it's the "real deal!" Can someone post pics of this stunning piece of craftsmanship??

I am glad that I learned early on about Snyders. Thanks for the help guys. I never heard of such a device, and after closer examinaton, it looks like a sew-on button device (notice the holes on the rim of the disc) that was poorly soldered to a wreath, with a cheap pin added for good measure. Not impressed.

                    regards,

                    Darren
