Great photos Rick. As always in marine photos, many men are wearing the Überzieher (Pea-Coat) This is by far the plainest yet rarest piece of Imperial German Marine clothing. The short dress coats are in abundance as they were useless after the war and you can find and buy one relatively easy, but peacoats are warm and functional jackets and were simply used until they were worn-out. I only know of a handful of original examples.

Rick, would you happen to have any on-board photos taken on S.M.S. Deutschland, Pommern, Hannover, Schlesien, or Schleswig-Holstein? I am in desperate need of detail photos of the upper decks for Project Pommern". Thanx, Tony http://www.kaisersbunker.com
