    What is this??

    Does anyone know what this little medal was for?? Dated 1853 but I don't have a clue. Thanks, Mike

    It's a French commemorative medal for the wedding of the Emperor and Empress of Fwance at the Notre Dame cathedral. Just like the ones we encounter from time to time for German nobility.
