Freikorps von Epp (also known as Bayerisches Schützenkorps), first type sleeve badge, 1919-20. This badge has the medallists name and the date 1919
on the lower rim. The Freikorps served during the Munich Soviet uprising in 1919 and Ruhr uprising in 1920.
The Freikorps became Reichswehr-Brigade 21 in 1920 and the badge was worn as a tradition badge until 1934.
In 1934 a new version of the badge without medallist name and date was created and used as a tradition badge by former members of the Freikorps serving in the SA. Later versions had RZM numbers on the reverse.
